Throughout season 1 we learn about the rivalry between alastor and vox.
During episode 8, the 3 vees think that alastor has died with them celebrating.
Briefly we see a photograph from the past that shows alastor beside vox, though vox has tore it in half.
This has some interesting implications.
Firstly it means that vox and alastor were best friends or business partners at some point.
Fans are theorising that they were a couple, but alastor is aro ace which rules that out.
In episode 2 alastor says vox asked him to join his team to which alastor declined and vox got angry.
It also means that at one point alastor allowed photographs of himself to be taken, and it also explains why alastor and vox have such similar appearances, since they were once pals.
We know that 7 years ago alastor and vox had a huge battle, with vox disappearing after.
Perhaps alastor being locked into his mysterious contract forced him to fall out with vox.
We’ll likely learn what happened in season 2.
