This is such a great time for consumers in the market for a PC.

There are some really usable devices at the low end of the market, and now the middle of the market is offering performance options that cost twice as much not too long ago.
This mid-range, $699 notebook from Lenovo offers a speedy i5 processor with 6 gigabytes of RAM and a 1 terabyte hard drive.

It is very nicely constructed, with an all aluminum chassis that is much more rugged than the plastic cases computers at this price point typically come with.

The touch screen display is very nice and very sharp with great viewing angles.

Touch controls are responsive, especially when the PC is flipped into stand mode.
Performance is adequate for most tasks including gaming with Minecraft, word processing, and web browsing.

Overall this is a good buy for $699.
